Volcanism of Hérault

The Hérault, a land of volcanoes! ? It sounds surprising, and yet ... from the volcano d'Agde well known, you know that dozens of volcanoes have spoken of the Mediterranean coast until Lozère? (It is estimated that a hundred points of issue are divided between the Aubrac and the Mediterranean!) .

It has been shown in an alternate emission lava and explosions. The lava rather fluid, alighted on both sides of the chain of Escandorgue north on the one hand and around a North-South axis substantially until Cap d'Agde on the other. The coverage of these lavas is quite large areas. The erosion has done his work and making a particularly intense in the area of Lodève.
